Focus of my research is; Design of IT for emergency response work. My unit of analysis is field operative personnel. I collect data using an ethnographical approach with participant observation of fire crew daily work. My work is design oriented and has resulted in a few prototypes, that shortly will be evaluated in field settings.
Concepts of interest are; Sensemaking, Collaboration and Improvisation.
In my research project I work closely with the Gothenburg Rescue Services as well as with the Swedish Rescue Agency.
